Otherwise, there should be a display switch on your motherboard, and it's setting needs to agree with what is in your BIOS settings. I know you can't see those right now, but your manual should show the different settings to choose from.

Will this board support a 1Ghz Duron with a bios flash? If so, are you posistive. And by positive I mean you are currently running a 1Ghz or faster Duron in this board. I know it will handle up to a 1. I apologize for being so nitpicky, but I know nothing about AMD.

This system won't be overclocked so this board seems perfect. Cheap, stable, fast, and can't be overclocked with any seriousness. Thanks guys. I don't have the board but couldn't help lookin'. Has to be PCB v3. PCB version 1. Last edited by WillysNut; at PM. I dig through ECS's site and didn't see that info. Even the spec's of current bios's didn't give any info. Well I feel comfortable that it will handle a 1Ghz Duron. Next hurdle is if it will post with a 1Ghz Duron when the bios in it only goes to Most Intel boards will let it post and then let you flash it, but we'll see if this one will.

So why not let it post at ?? I can post my Duron at , or a lot of other settings. It won't hurt it. Then you can load the OS and flash to the bios that will "let it fly"!!

Well, I don't know for sure if the original bios has this setting but you maybe could check. I used it and it read my Duron at 9 x 66?? Might be worth a try! Then again, maybe not!! That's great, but if it won't post that 1Gig Duron, then I can't get into the bios to do set that. I was really suprised at how this board was rated in reviews. It was consistantly faster than most other boards of it's time frame.

So stability and speed is important. This website uses cookies. Log in or Sign up. Hi I have problem with agp 4x. I tried to find solution from other posts, but nothing really came up. I have tested few ati drivers and also tested few chipset drivers. In my bios there is 4x agp mode enabled. Everything else says that it would be okay, but 3d mark claims that 2x agp mode is currently in use. Where could be the reason why I can't use 4x agp?
