The Coral Fang is Luke Jermay's third collection of material to be published.
This manuscript does not concentrate as heavily on the use of suggestion in mentalism as his previous works and featured within these pages are several sure-fire effects as well as a few new twists using suggestion techniques and genuine psychological methodology.
The book features the following effects: Touching on Hoy: Which is in my opinion the best thing I Luke Jermay have ever come up with. Simple, direct and strong. Three people think of different things. You then reveal what each person is thinking of. No pre show work, no props, no stooges, no kidding!
The Dangerous Opener: The performer influences a spectator to select the safe bag for him to crush. He slams his hand down on the selected bag revealing under the bag left, an upturned razor sharp knife.
No pre show work, no danger, no stooging. Pre - Show Scripting: A powerful model to be used for pre show work. It allows the performer to reveal much more during performance with no extra effort. The Psychic VS Psychological Performance: An essay that features a model of scripting to allow the performer to involve all types of audiences in his performances. This scripting allows the performer to appeal to both the skeptical members of the audience and the true believes without offending either party.
It also means the mentalist has the potential to work within both market places. Blowing Bubbles: The performer reads the mind of a spectator who is visibly seen to react the moment the thought leaves their mind. They also confirm the fact that they felt you reach into their mind and remove that very thought. Phone Prediction: A novel and entertaining prediction effect with a very different climax. We will let you discover this one for yourself!
PK Lip Stick: A stunning twist on the modern day classic. Bridging the world of the unreal and the magickal. Blindfold Sequence: A member of your audience is blindfolded while another focuses on a number they think of. Amazingly and with no pre show work or stooging the blindfolded spectator accurately reveals the number focused upon. This could be used as much more than numbers.

I believe that this was also featured in Building Blocks.
It uses a couple gimmicks, but you could find 'em here on Penguin for under. I also recommend 7 deceptions. Did this review help you? Do you want to respond to this review? The thinking behind the effects in this book aren't terrible by any means The problem for me is that just about everything in the book is predicated on dual reality or pre-show work. There's nothing inherently bad about that, but my own personal bias is that I prefer effects than are more direct and designed such that they don't require these sorts of crutches.
If this isn't a problem for you, you may find some workable ideas in here. But for me, I honestly don't think I found even one. And I don't really enjoy the "The Psychic vs.
Psychological Performance" chapter of the book. In conclusion, buy instead of this book. I like Luke Jermay. Maybe it's that bias that makes me think everything he puts out is fantastic.
I like the creativity and complex thought that goes into his work. I haven't actually used any of this material because of the set-up that goes in. This is a great read though. For fans of Luke Jermay this is a must own. If you are not yet sold on his greatness, then it wouldn't hurt you to pass it up. There is nothing more to say of Luke Jermay other than that he is a genius.
This book has some genius effects that are quite reliable to perform, much more than his suggestion work. This book is basically an entire show.
You are injuring yourself by not getting this. Enough said. The only dual reality that i found better is in Oz pearlmans lecture which i would recommend its incredible. Touching on hoy and 2 other effects are well thought out and have scripted patter to take all the guess work out.
Not a fan of forcing a shape where you still leave your success of the trick based on your spectators ability to follow directions but if your top notch in specator management you should get through that. When you take risks for these upscale mentalism tricks its best if you have some "outs" just in case its not a hit. I took a lot from this but with all thats out nowadays i would have thought the price would drop.
Brilliant, but the presentational wording is stilted and could be more deceptive I love the routines in this book. Not only does the wording sound very weird, but I think it risks exposing the DR. I have changed the wording from, "I'd like the person who felt me touch them to think of Luke Jermay always amazes me by his clever thinking. This may be a small manuscript, but it is jam-packed with GREAT mentalism that really hits anybody right between the eyes, even the skeptics.
And I totally agree with the description in "Touching on Hoy": It really is the best thing in the entire book! You need to know a few suggestion patterns, rapid inductions, etc. Before you get this, you might want to check out "Building Blocks" or "13 Steps".
If you have either of those, this book will be pure gold to you. Luke is quite possibly the best instructer ever Report this review Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON login to see reviewer names on September 7th, I must say that everything Luke puts out is gold. The Books The Downloads The tricks and the dvd are all gold. Having Luke's name on a product is like having the kosher sign on a bottle of pickles, its good.
